Catches on Lufthansa has formally launched its in-flight broadband internet facility a year after a successful three-month trial. Its FlyNet service introduced on the Munich-Los Angeles route, allows any passenger with a wireless, LAN-enabled laptop or PDA device to send and receive emails and connect to the web. During trials, an average of between 50 and 80 passengers were simultaneously online. |
